In this talk, Prof. Fang Wang, Deputy Director of Nankai University Library, will share insights from both theory and practice on how AI enhances library operations while posing new challenges. From automation to ethical concerns, she will explore how libraries can adapt and thrive in the AI era.

Professor Fang Wang is a Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at Nankai University, Deputy Director of Nankai University Library, and Director of the Research Center for Online Social Governance. She has led over 40 national and provincial research projects and is a Young Changjiang Scholar and Fulbright Senior Research Scholar. Her research focuses on knowledge discovery, government information management, policy intelligence, and online social governance, with over 200 publications in leading journals and 10+ books. She also serves as Chair of ASIS&T SIG-OIM and holds key roles in multiple academic organizations.
