Evidence Doesn't Speak for Itself, Sponsored by SIG-AI

Researchers are increasingly concerned with real world impact of research. Simply pumping out academic publications is unlikely to achieve this. Drawing on her experience as Chief Knowledge Officer for the NHS in England, Sue Lacey Bryant will discuss the ways that health research does or does not reach practice. What is it like for practitioners? How can researchers help? She will also discuss how AI may or may not impact practice, for instance by enabling rapid synthesis of research evidence. Sue will also reflect on the profound impact of social inequalities on healthcare service provision.

Presenter

Sue Lacey Bryant is Visiting Professor at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK and Vice President of CILIP. She was formerly Chief Knowledge Officer of NHS (England).
