US South Chapter Awards

Conference Support Award

The US South conference support award supports the participation in the ASIS&T Annual Meeting for one of the members affiliated with organizations from our region (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia).  Our goal is to bring new voices from the region to participate in the Annual Meeting.

2024 Annual Meeting Conference Support Award

The US South Conference Support Award supports the participation in the ASIS&T Annual Meeting for one of the members affiliated with organizations from our region (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia). Our goal is to bring new voices from the region to participate in the Annual Meeting. Award recipient's travel costs to the Annual Meeting will be supported in the form of a reimbursement with submission of receipts after the conclusion of the ASIS&T Annual (up to $750).
To be considered for the US South Conference Support Award, please email your application to the US South Chair, Danielle Colbert-Lewis (dcolbert@nccu.edu). The deadline for submission is Sunday, September 1, 2024.
Your application package should include the following:
  • A cover letter expressing your interest in attending the ASIS&T Annual Meeting and why you believe you should be awarded the Conference Support Award.
  • A 250-word statement describing your research interests, relevant experiences, and how attending the Annual Meeting will benefit your academic and professional development.
  • We encourage all students (enrolled in undergraduate, master's, or doctoral programs) and professionals to apply for this incredible opportunity to enhance your knowledge, network with experts in the field, and showcase your research. Please submit your applications before the deadline Sunday, September 1, 2024.
