Did You Know? – AM25 is Hybrid In-Person/Virtual!
Did You Know is a new column in ASIS&T publications designed to remind you of opportunities and benefits from your ASIS&T membership of which you may not be aware.
Virtual Annual Meeting Opportunity
Did you know that if you are unable to attend the ASIS&T Annual Meeting in person due to one of several factors, you are still able to present your work at the ASIS&T Annual Meeting if it is accepted for the Virtial Satellite Meeting being held on December 10, 2025? And if we receive enough qualified submissions, the satellite meeting could be extended to two days.
The factors that would make you eligible to present virtually at the satellite meeting are:
1. A disability
2. Prior or anticipated difficulty in obtaining a visa to travel to the US
3. Significant financial hardship (all Tier 2 country members are eligible in this category; others will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
and, in light of the current geopolitical environment, we have added
4. A ban on travel to the US by your university or country
Additionally, if there are more high-quality submissions for the in-person meeting than can be accomodated, presenters will be invited to consider a virtual presentation instead.
So please, consider submitting a paper, panel, or poster for consideration even if you are not able to attend the meeting in person! You will be asked on the submission form if you wish to present virtually.
Remeber, the paper and panel submission deadline is April 9!
