Webinar: AI Cybersecurity Synergy Foundations

In our increasingly digital world, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a driving force in enhancing both everyday experiences and critical systems. However, the rapid adoption of AI also introduces new security challenges, particularly in safeguarding data and networks. This lecture, part of Kuwait University Information Science Department’s "Tech Talks" series, explores the exciting intersection of AI and cybersecurity, demonstrating how AI is transforming our ability to detect and respond to cyber threats.
Attendees will be introduced to the fundamentals of anomaly detection, phishing detection, and real-time threat visualization, with hands-on exercises illustrating how AI can be harnessed to strengthen cybersecurity defenses. Through practical examples, we will examine how AI identifies unusual patterns, classifies threats, and visualizes network activities to preempt cyber-attacks. This session will provide attendees with foundational insights into AI’s role in protecting the digital landscape, as well as the ethical considerations and challenges in ensuring safe and reliable AI-powered systems. Join us for an engaging, interactive exploration of how AI safeguards our connected world, and discover the dynamic synergy between innovation and security in technology today.
