Dr. Yejun Wu is an Associate Professor in the School of Library and Information Science at the Louisiana state University. He received his Ph.D. in Information Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park. Before coming to the United States, he worked at the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC) as a sales manager in charge of the sales of ISTIC’s database products, Director of the Department of Marketing in charge of marketing ISTIC’s information services and products, and Director of the Administration Office in charge of the overall operation of ISTIC. He was recognized as an ASIS&T Distinguished Member, and currently serves on the ASIS&T Professional Development Committee. His research areas include digital libraries/repositories, and knowledge organization systems and their applications in facilitating learning, information retrieval, and knowledge discovery. He is also a member of the International Society for Knowledge Organization.
