SIG News- May 2022
SIG-AI
We are pleased to announce that Kevin Crowston will be our Inaugural Chair for the Publication of the Year award. He will soon be forming the awards committee and if you are interested in joining that committee, please email him directly (by the end of next week, if possible). If you had any publications in the last couple of years that fall under SIG AI topical coverage, please let us know through this form. We will post them through the SIG AI website, giving you additional visibility, and also consider them for the Publication Award.
We also want to thank the members who took our survey in April and provided feedback about what would they like to see this newest SIG do. We are working on some of those ideas and suggestions now. One of them we will execute is a student symposium. We are looking to partner with regional chapters to organize this student-centric event (which will be open to all) in the coming months. If you are interested in doing this partnership or helping us with the organization, please contact our Chair-Elect Jiqun Liu.
Finally, if you are an ASIS&T member, you can join SIG AI for FREE by logging into your account, going to 'My Info' and then adding SIG AI as a community in 'LISTS/COMMITTEES' section. If you are joining or renewing ASIS&T membership, you can select SIG AI during that process.
