Hardin to Step Down as ASIS&T Parliamentarian After 14 Years
After 14 years of dedicated service as Parliamentarian of ASIS&T, Steve Hardin is stepping down from this position. Steve has been a tremendous asset to ASIS&T in this capacity, serving as an impartial and thoughtful contributor to ASIS&T Board meetings, Annual Business Meetings, and component meetings over the years. Brian Detlor, ASIS&T President, said, "It is with regret that I accepted Steve’s resignation from the role of ASIS&T Parliamentarian. Steve has been an invaluable asset to the association in this role and the many others that he fulfills for ASIS&T. His calm, rational approach to complex issues has made the work of the Board more efficient and effective. He will be very hard to replace.”
Over his 34 years of membership, Steve has served in many roles. including Indiana Chapter Chair, Publications Committee Member, Jury Chair, and Board Member. Currently he is serving in a leadership capacity for SIG-STI. Steve won the Watson Davis Award for Service in 2006.
Steve is only the third Parliamentarian in ASIS&T's 84-year history.
The Board has launched a search for Steve's replacement.
