Introduction to eBird
Join us on Thursday evening, June 7th, 2012, for this spring program co-sponsored by CO-ASIS&T and the Grange Insurance Audubon Center.
SUMMARY: eBird (www.ebird.org) is an increasingly popular internet-based checklist program that provides bird watchers a free and easy way to organize their bird sightings, keep checklists, and share their observations with others. This seminar will cover getting started with eBird, submitting observations, embedding photos in your checklists, and using eBird’s data visualization tools to explore the local birds or the birds you’ll likely encounter during your next vacation. Librarians, beginning birders and seasoned experts are encouraged to attend!
PRESENTER: Paul Hurtado, PhD
Paul is a Postdoctoral Fellow at OSU’s Mathematical Biosciences Institute & Aquatic Ecology Laboratory. He is an avid birder and experienced user of eBird.
This program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. RSVP for this Free program at coasistweb@gmail.com.
