New Jersey Chapter

Welcome to the New Jersey Chapter of the Association for Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T). This Web site is intended to serve as an information channel for the New Jersey Chapter of ASIS&T (NJ-ASIS&T) and to facilitate greater public awareness about the goals, structure and activities of our group. Since 1937 ASIS&T has been the society for information professionals leading the search for new theories, techniques, and technologies to improve access to information. The New Jersey Chapter is a two-time winner of the ASIS&T Chapter-of-the-Year Award. The chapter has excellent administration with a full complement of officers. During 2004-2005, the chapter has held presentation/dinner meetings featuring speakers on Google Scholar and blogs, and presented the 18th Distinguished Lectureship award and program featuring Eugene Garfield. The recipient of the 19th Distinguished Lectureship award is Susan Dumais featured in a day-long event at Rutgers and IEEE on September 22, 2005.
